The history of TBKart

The origins of TBKart date back to 1918, when Tranquillo Brenna began producing simple metal components near Como, Italy. In the 1970s, the company took a major step forward by starting to design and manufacture more complex machinery as well.

Around the same time, the GoKart made its way from the United States to Europe and quickly grew in popularity here as well. With all the necessary expertise already in-house, Brenna gradually shifted its focus toward the development and production of karts. Under the name TiBi Kart, as the company was then known, it entered an exciting new phase.

By now, another half-century has passed. TiBi Kart is still a family-owned business with the third generation now at the helm and goes by the name TBKart. The “TB” stands for Telaio Brenna; telaio is the Italian word for frame. TBKart designs, develops and produces both racing karts for all major competition classes and rental karts at its own facilities in Orsenigo, near Como. More than a hundred years after the company was founded, TBKart continues to produce products of exceptionally high quality. Drivers around the world show in various racing classes that TB karts are also highly competitive.
